A family passion

At the foot of the majestic slopes of Grand Cru Hengst is Eugene Buecher who gave birth to this beautiful family story. This is the eighteenth century in the village of Wettolsheim when everything started. It’s well known for its ability to unite the complexity of its soil and exposure privileged plots, Eugene had a tact to select the ideal cohesion leading to enhancement of the character of each soil. He planted his first vines on the hillsides where the dominant purpose wine dates back to the prewar period.

In 1986, Yves Buecher joins Nelly Fix, winemaker at Voegtlinshoffen. That's a year later that Yves and Nelly merged their two vineyards and founded the Domaine Buecher & Fix. Using the same idea, the Fix family has always worked in an optical quality and respect for the vines. Fern and Fix, great visionary, decided to bottle his own wines in 1947 and then embarks on the sale property. It is seven generations the family working the vine.

Since 2000, the plots were treated with biological mixing a passion and an unwavering attachment. Nelly & Yves show the same affection for the perpetuation of sublime wines in keeping with the grape variety and terroir.
